The Role:
We are now seeking a talented, creative and engaging Town Hall Quarter Communications and Engagement Officer, to focus on driving success and making a real difference as part of our Town Hall Quarter programme.
The Town Hall Quarter is an ambitious, far-reaching programme for the council, combining a number of interlinked projects to transform the area around the Grade II listed Town Hall building, securing its long-term future and that of the historic Watford Colosseum.
The programme will open up the area for an attractive new neighbourhood with homes, business space and places for all the community to spend time and enjoy.
This role is a 1 year fixed-term contract with a possible extension for a further year.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an individual who is confident in delivering strategic and tactical communications and engagement campaigns. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative and possess the drive to build successful working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior managers, partners, residents, councillors and our directly elected Mayor.
You will be an enthusiastic and proactive person with a passion for clear, effective communications – both internal and external. You will need to be forward-thinking with a track record for being well prepared and for effective communications and engagement planning, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion to bring others with you.
