HR Advisor
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: £29,570 - £33,132
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours

Are you looking for the next step in your HR career in a broad and challenging HR Advisory role?

We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our HR shared service team taking on the end-to-end recruitment process, supporting HR Business Partners with casework and providing general HR advice across Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council. Our office base is Watford, but we have embraced agile working and are flexible with where people work, including home for some of the time.

Your key responsibilities:

- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process from advertising to production of offer letters, contracts of employment and completing pre-employment checks
- Provide accurate and professional advice on a range of employee issues, including but not limited to, discipline, grievance, capability, absence management, wellbeing, redundancy and redeployment
- Supporting HR Business Partners with case work and carrying out investigations into less complex cases
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures as required in line with employment law and good practice
- Carry out job evaluations using appropriate job evaluation scheme in use within each Council
- Supporting the Health & Wellbeing initiatives and other key HR projects

You will need:

- Experience within a similar HR Advisory role
- Experience of managing the end-to-end recruitment process
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Excellent relationship building skills
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
