An exciting opportunity to join the professional team a newly formed shared building control service between Watford and St Albans.
Watford is an urban borough in Southwest Hertfordshire; The area offers a wide range of building control experience in larger commercial and domestic schemes within and around its busy town centre as well as smaller industrial and domestic developments throughout is diverse community. Historic St Albans located in the valley of the river Ver is a cathedral city with a vibrant town centre. The district includes suburban and rural regions between the M25 and Harpenden which presents varied range of domestic schemes of a some of a more complex nature.
The Role: - Registered Building Control Surveyor (St Albans area)
What we are looking for:-
A highly motivated registered building surveyor with building control experience. You must be a qualified building surveyor on the way to being a professional member of RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent. You must also be registered with the Building Safety Regulator to practice in the field of building control at level 2A or above. You will have the ability to accurately assess plans against the ever-changing requirements of the Building Regulations. You will apply your skills and powers of observation on site to ensure safety and standards are maintained in the built environment. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to apply these to a wide range of building professionals and customers to achieve safe and successful outcomes. This role will be based in Watford Borough but may require working within the St Albans area on occasion if business needs require this.
