Housing Policy, Projects & Strategy Manager

The Role:-
As part of the Housing Management Team you will work with colleagues to support the Council’s strategic and policy direction for housing across the town. Leading the development of the council’s approach to ensuring we have the suitable and sufficient homes for residents and preventing homeless, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to undertake the oversight, delivery and monitoring of all the housing related strategies and policies. These include the Housing Strategy, the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy, Supported Housing Strategy and the Private Sector Renewal Policy.
This role will inform the work of colleagues investing and developing in new settled and temporary homes as well as providing the information to improve and enable continual improvement and better operational outcomes in preventing homelessness. You will need to work on your own initiative and be able to collaborate easily with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside Watford, from elected members to council staff, statutory and community organisations as well as residents.
