Building Control Surveyor (Class 2) (Development Control)

£44,706 - £48,767 per annum (pro rata)
We are looking for an experienced Building Control Surveyor who is registered at Class 2 level or above to work in our busy Development Control team. The Building Control Surveyor will be working across both Watford and St Albans areas as part of a shared service Building Control between Watford Borough and St Albans City and District Councils.
You will be working as part of a friendly and professional team of 4 Building Control Surveyors, alongside a Principal Building Control Surveyor managed by a Building Control Service Lead.
The service is supported by a multidiscipline Technical Support team who work as part our shared services for Building Control and Planning Enforcement between St Albans City and District and Watford Borough Council’s.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation. The role includes assessing applications, conducting site inspections, advising stakeholders, and enforcing regulatory compliance to maintain high standards of safety and quality in construction.
