The Role:
Are you an experienced Temporary Accommodating Officer looking for an exciting challenge? Do you have an extensive understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act and local authority Allocations policies? Are you looking for your next career move? Watford Borough Council is currently strengthening its housing service to meet the significant housing challenges faced by its residents. A strong focus will be on the prevention of homelessness and a reduction in numbers in temporary accommodation, as well as delivering excellent value-for-money services fit for the future.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have the drive and ambition to champion and embed a culture of continuous improvement within the housing service. They will be able to work collaboratively with partners to seek solutions, identify and develop opportunities to innovate and implement enhancements and improvements of the service.
Key requirements include effective communication, team-building skills, the ability and motivation to solve problems, personal credibility and an approach that builds rapport and confidence in both officers and partners. We are committed to supporting you to develop, both personally and in terms of your specialist knowledge.
